Erasmus+ Programı tarafından desteklenen 2022-1-ES02-KA210-YOU-000084552 referans numaralı “SEEKING ECO GIANTS” isimli projemiz yerelde iklim değişikliğine dikkat çekmek ve gençlerin politika süreçlerine katılmasını sağlamayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu kapsamda yereldeki ilk atölyemizi İzmir’den 38 gencin katılım ile Alsancak Gençlik Merkezi ev sahipliğinde gerçekleştirdik. İlgili etkinlikte gençler, alanında deneyimli eğitmenler Zeynep Seda SOYLU ve Çağdaş YAŞAR tarafından uygulanan ve yaygın eğitim metodolojisi ile gençlere iklim değişikliği senaryolarını simüle etmelerini öğreten “Climate Fresk” oyununu gruplar halinde uyguladılar. Ortaya çıkan sonuçları akranları ile paylaşan gençlerin, iklim değişikliği ve özellikle yaşanan su kıtlığına ilişkin tespit ve çözüm önerilerini dinleme şansı yakaladık.

The project “SEEKING ECO GIANTS” with reference number 2022-1-ES02-KA210-YOU-000084552, supported by Erasmus+ Programme, aims to draw attention to climate change locally and to enable young people to participate in policy processes. In this context, we held our first local workshop hosted by Alsancak Youth Center with the participation of 38 young people from Izmir. In the event, young people played the “Climate Fresk” game in groups, which was implemented by experienced trainers Zeynep Seda SOYLU and Çağdaş YAŞAR, and taught young people to simulate climate change scenarios with non-formal education methodology. We had the chance to listen to the findings and solution proposals of the young people, who shared the results with their peers, regarding climate change and especially water scarcity.
